Two Weeks Sri Lanka Tour

If you only have two weeks to spare, this is the perfect tour for you. From the best beaches to spectacular mountain views and wildlife backdrops, this 14-day Sri Lanka itinerary will enable you to enjoy a fun-filled holiday with your partner, family and/or friends while enjoying a variety of landscapes.

1, 2

Kalpitiya

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, a Zoom Lanka representative will assist you with your airport clearance. He will welcome you to a luxury private vehicle that you will use throughout your vacation in Sri Lanka. Your first destination on this trip will be Kalpitiya which can be reached in 3 hours from the airport.

During the first two days of your stay in Kalpitiya, the beach, which is home to dolphins, is ideal for relaxing. One of the sports you can indulge in here is kitesurfing.

Anuradhapura

From Kalpitiya the next morning you will depart for Anuradhapura (a 2 hour drive.) and after getting an insight into the old town, ruins and Sri Lankan history, you may arrive at the hotel for overnight stay. Next day breakfast is also included in the package.

4, 5

Jaffna

On the 4th day leave for Jaffna and from Anuradhapura you will first reach Mihintala Vihara, then Elephant Pass and then reach Jaffna and the whole journey will take about three and a half hours.

Stay at Jaffna Hotel for two nights and on day 5 visit Jaffna Fort, Nallur Temple, Library, local markets and Nagadeepa Temple.

6, 7

Trincomalee

From Jaffna, it will take around 5 hours to reach your next destination, Trincomalee. On days 6 and 7, you will have breakfast and dinner at the hotel and in Trincomalee, you will visit Kinnia Bridge and Velgam Vehera. At the hotel, you can relax on Sri Lanka’s beautiful east coast and indulge in some water sports activities.

Sigiriya

After breakfast the next day, you will be driven to Sigiriya (2 hours away) where you will be able to enter a village on a bullock cart. After lunch you can climb the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Lion Rock” (about 1200 steps). At the end of the tiring day you will be taken to the hotel for a peaceful night in a comfortable and luxurious room.

Kandy

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel in the beautiful mountainous region of Sri Lanka and three and a half hours away from Sigiriya is the capital of the hills, Kandy. On the way you can visit Dambulla Cave Temple (about 300-400 steps to climb). In Kandy, visit Temple of the Tooth and then proceed to hotel for overnight stay.

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, you will have a three-hour drive to Nuwara Eliya and on the way, you can visit Ramboda Falls, tea estates and a tea factory. After a walking food tour of the city in Nuwara Eliya, the night will be spent in Nuwara Eliya.

Ella and Yala

After breakfast, you will be picked up at the railway station for the most scenic train journey in Sri Lanka and our driver will take you to Ella railway station. After visiting the nine-arched bridge at the falls, en route to the next destination, Yala, you will be able to experience pottery making and pick up some pottery for your home. After reaching Yala, the night will be spent at the hotel.

12, 13

Bentota

A jeep safari will take you to Yala National Park to explore Sri Lanka’s wildlife, starting from your hotel the next morning. After this, you will be escorted to Unawatuna South Beach for a culinary demonstration and a visit to the local market. You will next arrive at Avani Bentota Hotel for a two-night stay. Bentota is located on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka, where you can indulge in adventurous water sports activities and swim or soak up the sun on the beautiful beaches.

Arrival at the airport.

This marks the end of Zoom Lanka Tours 2 week tour of Sri Lanka and depending on your flight time, you will be picked up from Bentota directly to the airport (a 2 hour journey).
